REBELLION IS DEAD. LONG LIVE REBELLION
It's been a while between drinks for those die hards waiting on the next REBELLION gig at Cerutis in Manly. Many apologies to those expecting us to return this summer, but it looks doubtful at best that we will return to the northern beaches.

Although the events we held at Cerutis were hugely successful and we had a great time putting them on, we had to take time out to complete other projects and now we are not in a position to continue the REBELLION nights. However, we are in talks with different crews in the city to try and put together a more regular event in a similar style to REBELLION. That being, we want to continue to push mainly the dub/reggae and underground garage side of things to a Sydney audience.

In the meantime, if garage is your thing, make sure you check out www.southernsteppa.com and help the fledgling Australian scene florish.

So... many, many, many thanks to everyone who supported the REBELLION cause, and proved that there is still opportunity on the northern beaches to hear great music with awesome people and a fantastic vibe. We hope to see you all again soon!

Peace,
Scott and Eli

17.09.04 - THE VIRUS WILL BE RELEASED

Friday, 17th September will see the freshest and finest upfront talent unleash underground beats the likes of which Sydney has never known. It's the infectious grooves of grime, breakstep, underground garage and a swarm of other sub-genres that will tear apart the Phoenix Bar on Oxford St.

Outbreak.

This collective of boundary pushing artists have come together at a time when these new styles of music are ready to explode. People from around the world are starting to stand up and take notice, and to show our own local talent, this event will also see the official release of the Witchdokta 12", from Moving Ninja (Farj of Garage Pressure Crew).

Outbreak.

So prepare yourself for a contagion that will change the way you think about the possibilities of music. It's a virus that once released, will spread throughout the clubs and minds of people across the country. It's coming. It's an...

WHITE BOYS HIBERNATE FOR THE WINTER
That's right: Eli and Scott are too soft to brave the cold Sydney weather, and so the REBELLION nights in Manly will be put on hold until we're able to wear shorts and show our hairy legs once again. The response to the underground sounds we've been pushing from our cosy little events has been fantastic, and the support from people both near and far has been overwhelming - so thank you to everyone! We will most definitely be back to tear up Cerutis once the temperature is a little more club friendly.

In the meantime, this site will continue to be updated to get the word out on the very latest from everyone that is part of the extended REBELLION crew, so check back regularly. And if you want to hear the moment REBELLION will hit the street once again, sign up to our mailing list on this page.

Once again, cheers to everyone who got involved with the night. It's a positive step for the local music scene to have a platform for new styles of music played by up and coming artists. Especially big props to the fantastic peeps who get along and vibe the music too - that's what it's all about! Rug up for the winter, we'll be back soon!

Peace.

Scott and Eli.
